Project Ready for Demonstration

Web App, Energy Analysis, and Communication Materials

Web Application Development

This week, we made significant strides in the development of our web app. Building on last week’s foundation, we began integrating more refined components and functionalities to align the interface with the finalized energy analysis. The user experience is being shaped to offer intuitive navigation through energy and financial data, which will soon be fully operational.

Energy Analysis and Financial Forecasting

The energy analysis is now complete, providing a solid technical base for the rest of the project. This milestone allows us to confidently proceed with the financial analysis, which is currently underway. This next phase will assess cost-efficiency and long-term sustainability based on the energy data, informing strategic decisions.

From Analysis to Code

With the energy assessment finalized, we initiated the process of converting analytical insights into functional code. This transition is crucial for embedding our findings directly into the app and ensuring that the data visualizations reflect real-world energy dynamics.

Sensor and IPMA Data Processing

We’ve also begun handling the data collected from both our own sensors and external sources, such as the IPMA (Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere). Our focus is on harmonizing these datasets to enrich the system’s responsiveness to environmental conditions, enhancing the reliability of our predictive models.

Video Production

Work on the project video continues. We're currently in the editing and assembly phase, compiling both visual content and narrative structure.

Poster Design Drafted

A first draft of the final presentation poster has been created. It already reflects the core components of our system and will be refined in parallel with the app and video to ensure consistency and clarity across all deliverables.

Next Steps

In the coming days, we’ll continue coding the energy logic into the app, fine-tuning the video, and finalizing the visual layout of the poster.
