Preparing for the presentation and integrating critical components.

Intermediate Presentation and Technical Milestones

Intermediate Presentation Preparation and Slide Updates

We dedicated time to the development of our intermediate ElectroCap presentation, which includes a summary of the project’s progress so far and reflections on the main technical and organizational challenges. We also updated the slide containing the complete code for the ESP32, now integrating both the INA219 sensor and the SparkFun anemometer. In addition, we revised the slides on the Contribution of Each Team Member and the Schedule of Activities Until the End of the Project, ensuring they reflect the latest developments and team input.

Industry Partner Meeting: Project Status and Metrics

This week we held a follow-up meeting with our industry partner to present the current status of the project and to clarify key aspects related to data and performance metrics. The discussion focused on identifying:

  • - The most relevant indicators to assess energy efficiency and system reliability;
  • - The meteorological and operational data already available;
  • - The calculations we will need to perform once we begin collecting live sensor data.

This alignment will help us ensure that the system's outputs meet both technical requirements and industry expectations.

Technical Update: ESP32 Code Integration

A key technical milestone this week was the integration of the ESP32 microcontroller with the INA219 sensor (for voltage and current monitoring) and the SparkFun anemometer (for wind speed measurements). This integration is crucial for enabling accurate data acquisition and paves the way for immediate testing once the hardware components arrive.

Design and Mockups

The frontend team progressed with the design and refinement of interface mockups, focusing on clarity, usability, and real-time responsiveness. The goal is to ensure the platform clearly displays live data, energy metrics, and optimization recommendations in a way that supports informed decision-making.

Next Steps

In the coming days, we will finalize and submit the intermediate presentation. We will also continue improving both the frontend components and the data processing code. Once the materials are delivered, we will move forward with sensor assembly, live data collection, and system validation.
